Information, Advice and Guidance on Learning and Work
Welcome to nextstep London East, a free one-to-one advice service for adults over 20, covering everything you need to know about learning and work. If you are 19 or under, click here. All our advisers are trained to give you independent and confidential information and advice suited to what you want to do in the future. They can help you decide how to change direction, get a qualification or learn a new skill.
You can also get help with your CV, application forms, interview skills and ideas on how and where to search for jobs.
Is nextstep for me?
Our free service is targeted at people with few qualifications (below Level 2), but if you have more than this (roughly 5 GCSEs) you may still get help if:
- you have a disability, either mental or physical
- you need help to improve your English language skills
- you are a lone parent
- you are over the age of 50
- you are returning to work after being unemployed for over 2 years
- you are a refugee/asylum seeker
- you are homeless
- you are an offender/ex-offender
